Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–9), when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest on Holy Thursday and his crucifixion on Good Friday and thus marks the beginning of Holy Week, the most important time of the church's year. This year, due to the abnormal circumstances prevailing, we will be unable to attend church and partake of these services and especially the Triduum, but we can follow either in our own missals, or watch many of the live streamed services from around the country and indeed the world. Fr Mathew will celebrate this Mass in private, offered for the intention of Elaine Carter, RIP
